Room available for meetings - and it's free to community groups!

Community or charity groups in Dorchester and the surrounding villages are being invited to use a spacious room at Poundbury Gardens for meetings and other gatherings and there will be no charge. Situated on Peverell Avenue, Poundbury Gardens was opened in 2006 by HRH The Prince of Wales who followed the conversion of the old farm buildings with great interest.

"The large room over the top of the Garden Centre has enough room to seat 50 people and our intention was always to offer this to groups from the Dorchester area as a place to hold meetings during the day. Finishing touches have now been completed so we are ready to welcome charities, local groups or organisations who may need to get together for meetings or AGMs. Adjoining the room is a kitchen so refreshments can also be made if required. We hope that charities or local groups will make use of this facility and enjoy meeting in the room which has all the features and character of the old farm building," said James Foster-Pegg of Poundbury Gardens.

There are also various pieces of equipment which may be helpful to groups. Interested organisations should contact either James or Lucy at Poundbury Gardens on telephone 01305 257250.
