Reaching new heights for Yeovil Hospital Charity, as garden centre team gears up for abseil

Added on 25 April 2017

On Sunday 21 May members of staff from Brimsmore Gardens in Yeovil and Castle Gardens in Sherborne will embark on a 100ft abseil down the side of Yeovil Hospital. As they pluck up the courage to complete this challenge, the team will be fundraising for Yeovil Hospital Charity, raising money for improvements to its Cancer Ward

Karen Hillard, assistant manager at Brimsmore Gardens, says; “Yeovil Hospital Charity is one that is close to all of our hearts, with many of us having friends, family and colleagues that have used the Cancer Ward at some point, so it’s a real pleasure to be raising money for such a worthy cause. This is a completely new experience for us all, taking us out of our comfort zones and really putting us to the test, but we want to do everything we can to help improve the hospital’s facilities for local people. We hope many people will show their support by donating what they can or even just cheering us on.”

Donations can be made at any of The Gardens Group’s garden centres or through the team’s Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/thegardensgroup.
