New spring growth at Castle Gardens

Added on 17 March 2014

Paving and benching under a new glass canopy, which traps sunshine and provides a naturally light and bright area for plants and garden furniture, has been completed at Castle Gardens in Sherborne. The area, which was previously open to the elements, has enabled Castle Gardens to expand its range for the new spring season, including a huge collection of plants and shrubs and more space for our range of contemporary and traditional outdoor furniture.

"Our new covered area gives us a wonderful opportunity to enlarge our range of plants and gives room for us to better display our garden furniture collections and we hope that people will enjoy the new layout," said Mike Burks, MD of The Gardens Group.

"As with all changes to a retail site, this growth has slightly changed our Sunday opening hours so now we will be able to welcome customers to browse, enjoy a coffee or breakfast in the Walled Garden Restaurant from 10 o'clock on Sundays but purchases in the garden centre will have to wait until 10.30am!" said Mike.

Castle Gardens in Sherborne, Brimsmore Gardens in Yeovil and Poundbury Gardens in Poundbury, Dorchester all open from 10am - 4.30pm on a Sunday (tills open at 10.30) and 9am to 6pm the rest of the week.
