Christmas displays bringing joy to the region

Added on 19 September 2014

The Gardens Group’s much-anticipated and award-winning Christmas displays, will be unveiled this year at a number of special open evenings throughout October. With roast chestnuts, mince pies and warm Christmas mead, each of the garden centre’s Christmas display launches, are set to be bigger and better than ever.

Each year the Christmas display themes are kept under wraps right up until the grand reveal, and this year is no exception, with only The Gardens Group’s staff in the know.

Christmas display open evenings:

Poundbury Gardens, Dorchester - Thursday 2 October 2014 from 6:30pm

Brimsmore Gardens, Yeovil - Thursday 9 October 2014 from 6:30pm

Castle Gardens, Sherborne - Friday 17 October 2014 from 6:30pm

Louise Burks, director at The Gardens Group explains; “Our Christmas displays take months of planning and weeks of building partition walls, labelling baubles and assembling secret features. So this year, we wanted to make much more of our opening night events and give our visitors the ultimate Christmas experience with festive food and drink as they peruse the displays.”

The Gardens Group has won the Garden Centre Association’s Best Christmas Display Award four out of the five years it has been running and the team are hoping for more success this year.
