Hundreds of children hop along to Bunny Day

Hundreds of families flocked to all three of The Gardens Group garden centres last week for Easter Bunny Day, a free half-term activity at Brimsmore Gardens, Yeovil, Poundbury Gardens, Dorchester and Castle Gardens in Sherborne.

Bunny enthusiasts of all ages queued up to meet George, the Dutch, Jubilee; the Rex Cross; and their six newborn unnamed kits, which were brought along by Animals in Education, a family-run petting farm in Dorset. Other activities for the children included an Easter rabbit hunt, making rabbit ears and designing an Easter egg competition.

Mike Burks, managing director of The Gardens Group, explains: “We were delighted with the success of these events; it is always a pleasure to see young people engage with animals and learn about the importance of wildlife. We want to say a huge thank you to Animals in Education, who brought the very good-tempered rabbits to all three events.”
